This is a photograph of a 2D historic manuscript of a text published in the 13th-century and the manuscript produced in 1843. This manuscript is a part of the joint digitization effort between the University of Arizona and the British Library, under the Endangered Archives Programme supported by Arcadia. The manuscript has 609 surviving pages, with 9 lines per page. This manuscript was produced in 1765 Saka (1843 CE). The first two pages of the manuscript are shown above. It is a commentary on the Hindu scripture the Bhagavad Gita, and an important text for the Varkari tradition of Hinduism. It is the oldest surviving literary work in the Marathi language.
